This statue was carved in Nyoman Mahayani's shop.  Nyoman grew up in his father’s footsteps to become a renowned stone carver.  He now helps a good portion of his village earning a good, stable salary.  Working locally means not traveling long distances for work in the city; this allows Nyoman and his workers to invest more time, energy and earnings to their families and is deeply appreciated by all.
