Flying time to Bali, if you could fly direct, would be about 24 hours, unfortunately, there are several stops along the way and it usually takes about 36 hours once you include layovers and transfers. That being said, it is worth the time it takes to get there, so don't let the travel time be a deterrent. It is nothing a relaxing, traditional Balinese body massage can't erase in the matter of a few hours.
If you are thinking about visiting Bali, I have the perfect connections to get you set-up for a visit of a lifetime! My Uncle, John Daniels, owns and operates the best travel company on Bali, called Bali Discovery Tours. Check them out at www.balidiscovery.com. Bali Discovery Tours will custom design a trip complete with golf, shopping, massages, cooking, white water rafting, the possibilities are really endless.
Something else to consider is the close proximity to other wonderful places to visit....
As long as you have traveled half way around the world, keep in mind Singapore and Perth, Australia are only 2.5 and 3 hours away respectively. Hong Kong is about 4.5 hours and Sydney/Melbourne are 5.5 - 6 hours.
Not that you will run out things to do on Bali, but if you're in the neighborhood and have the time I always recommend visiting Australia for a week or so. Visiting any of the above places is also something Bali Discovery Tours can help you set up.
