Bali is an island rich in spirit and beauty and is sometimes referred to as the island of a thousand temples.  Indeed, the number of temples on Bali is much higher...a more accepted number is probably between 10.000 to 20.000 and this is without counting household temples, which are inside almost every house in Bali.  This being said, I guess there is a reason the island is sometimes also referred to as the island of the gods.

I learn something new every time I travel to Bali.  Not only that, but I have found I become more in touch with my spirituality while visiting, enabling me to gain much needed perspective, which I put to good use upon returning to the United States.
