The Mushroom Festival has announced its live entertainment for this year’s 52nd annual event from May 17th - 20th
A great lineup of live music starts at 8:30 pm Friday, May 18th, when the Thornetta Davis Band performs under the heated tent in Veterans Park. Rock n’ roll band Audio Circus performs at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 19th. Tickets for both concerts are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. On Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m., TNT & Northern Nites perform, presented by the Northern Michigan Cancer Crusaders. Admission is by donation on Sunday. The festival is packed with fun: carnival rides all four days and a craft show and outdoor recreation show Friday through Sunday. Friday highlights include a morel seminar, guided hunt and the Chamber’s Wine & Dine gourmet event at 5:30 at the Beach House restaurant. Saturday starts with a morel breakfast, the Lions Club National Mushroom Hunt, the Taste of Morels from noon to 3 p.m., the Great Morel Giveaway at downtown stores at 4 p.m. and a a Private Property Morel Hunt at 4:30.
